Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VendrList (“we”) runs vendrlist.com, a marketplace where couples find wedding vendors and vendors manage inquiries. VendrList is operated by [VendrList LLC], [mailing address], Utah, USA. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: name, email address, and how you sign in (Apple, Google or an email code). We never see your Apple or Google password.
  • Couples: wedding date or month, city and venue, guest count, budget, priorities, notes you add, vendors you save, and messages you send.
  • Vendors: business name, category, cities served, packages and prices, photos, documents you upload, Instagram handle, phone number, and messages you send.
  • Mobile number for text alerts, if a vendor opts in, with the date and time of consent.
  • Reviews and the email address a review invitation was sent to.

Information from connected services

  • Google Calendar (if a vendor connects it): free/busy times and the list of calendar names. See section 5.
  • Calendar links (Apple, Outlook or other ICS feeds): busy times only. We don’t store event text.
  • Google Places: a vendor’s public Google rating and review count, if the vendor links their listing.

Information collected automatically

  • Pages viewed, links followed, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, and the site that referred you. We use this to run the service, measure what’s working and prevent abuse.
  • Cookies that keep you signed in and remember your planning progress. We don’t use advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

  • To run VendrList: show vendor pages, check availability, build budgets, deliver messages and inquiries.
  • To send account messages by email, and by text to vendors who opted in.
  • To rank search results by fit (date, budget, guests, location). Payment is never a ranking input.
  • To keep VendrList safe: detect spam, fake reviews and misuse.
  • To improve the product using aggregated, de-identified usage data.

4. How we share information

  • With vendors you contact. When a couple asks a vendor, that vendor receives the couple’s name, wedding details and message.
  • Publicly, when you choose. Vendor pages, reviews (with the display name the reviewer picks) and vendor replies are public.
  • With service providers who host our systems, send email and text messages, store files and process data for us under contract. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of people using VendrList.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Google user data

If a vendor connects Google Calendar, VendrList asks for permission to read free/busy information and the list of calendars. We use it only to show that vendor’s availability on VendrList and to let them choose which calendars count.

  • We do not read or store event titles, descriptions, locations, attendees or attachments.
  • We store busy time ranges and calendar IDs, encrypted access tokens, and the time of the last sync.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or transfer it to others except as needed to provide or improve the availability feature, comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with the user’s protections intact.
  • No person at VendrList reads Google user data unless the vendor asks us to help, it’s needed for security or legal reasons, or it has been aggregated and de-identified.
  • Vendors can disconnect at any time in VendrList Settings or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When they do, we delete stored busy times and tokens within 30 days.

VendrList’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Text messages

Vendors who opt in receive texts about new inquiries and account notices from VendrList. Message frequency varies (up to 20 a month on the free plan). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using VendrList. See the Text message terms.

7. Keeping and deleting data

We keep account information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or safety reasons, and messages that remain part of the other person’s conversation. Published reviews may remain with the reviewer’s display name removed.

8. Your choices

  • Edit your details any time in your account.
  • Delete your account in Settings, or email us.
  • Turn off email or text alerts in Settings. Every email has an unsubscribe link; reply STOP to any text.
  • Ask for a copy of your data or a correction by emailing privacy@vendrlist.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we honor them.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, encrypt calendar tokens and feed links at rest, and limit staff access. No system is perfectly secure; we’ll notify you as required by law if a breach affects your information.

10. Children

VendrList is for adults planning weddings and for wedding businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
